Broccoli Music seeks stand out bands

Broccoli Music run a live music night, "Pull Up The Roots" at The Old Queens Head in Angel showcasing monthly bands that are releasing material alongside good quality acts. This event has been going since late last year and is building quite a reputation amongst bands and punters alike. The company is looking for stand out bands, without being prescriptive about genre: "We're not too genre specific as there are so many good bands out there," says Director, Mikee Corcoran. "If you look at Myspace and how bands categorise themselves these days, the cross over in genres is crazy which is why we're open to pretty much anything".

“Set in the bohemian, chandelier sprinkled lounge upstairs at The Old Queens Head, Broccoli’s newest offering to the live circuit captures fiery new talent in support of their latest releases. Intimate rock n roll done good” (Wag Marshall-Page – Infadels)

When Broccoli find bands they like to take them onto other projects they work on, and are now setting up a second company called Broccoli Music Live, creating bespoke events for corporate companies – events – parties featuring bands that have played their nights. They also run a club night, Bring Your Parents' Records, where they encourage the public to beg, borrow, or steal their parents' records and come and play them at the club night. For more information go to www.bringyourparentsrecords.com.
