Black
Rose Productions seeks vocal artist/composer
Tito Batista, president of Black Rose Productions
Inc, started off the new year by solidifying a working relationship between Chris Pati
and legendary film composer Angelo Badalamenti at The Broccoli Rabe Entertainment Complex in Fairfield, NJ, on Saturday January 10, 2009, a
session that lasted well over twelve hours. Mr Badalamenti's many credits include a Grammy Award for the groundbreaking television series
"Twin Peaks" which was produced by legendary film director and producer, David Lynch. Mr. Badalamenti is also a popular and respected
recording artist, having worked with the likes of David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Pet Shop Boys, Anthrax, Michael Jackson, Julee Cruise,
Marianne Faithfull, Dolores O'Riordan, and now with guitarist/musician, Chris
Pati.
"Chris Pati is a genius," whispered Angelo Badalamenti during the session of "44 Inch Chest" while playing tasty guitar licks and
arrangements being accompanied by a string session with legend percussionist Luisito Quintero. Luisito Quintero has many credits including
performing with Carlos Santana, George Benson, Tito Puente to name a few.
Chris Pati has a personal/professional relationship with manager Tito Batista, president of Black Rose Productions Inc for over 30 years.
Mr Pati first met lead singer/guitarist now artist manager Tito Batista while performing in the New York metropolitan area as the drummer
for the musical group Black Rose. Black Rose has always had the reputation for recruiting the best musicians New York has to offer. Which
previously included Everett Collins, drummer with the Isley Brothers. Leon Drucker, son of legend Stanley Drucker lead clarinetist with the
New York Philharmonic. His son Leon Drucker became the upright bass player for the famous rockabilly rock group, The Stray Cats. Leon
Drucker's stage name was "Lee Rocker". Several other musicians in Black Rose formed "Eclipse", an instrumental electric jazz group led and
named by bass player/arranger John Pandolfo alias "Johnny Funk" leader of the well known orchestra "Uppercut" based out of Long Island, New
York. John Pandolfo still has a strong working relationship with Black Rose Productions Inc for over 30 years and recently produced an
album featuring Brent Carter, former lead singer for "Tower of Power." Eclipse went on to perform the musical cues for the Emmy Award
winning show "The Cosby Show" featuring Bill Cosby which aired on NBC for many years. Tito Batista as manager for those musicians was able
and directly responsible for the procurement of that gig. Several of these musicians are still enjoying success as sessioned musicians for
some of the biggest artists in the industry.
Black Rose is a well known New York metropolitan band performing in many venues including the New York Playboy Club, the Rainbow Grill, the
Belmont Park Inn, Hammerheads, The 1890's, and the Fox Hollow Country Club to name a few. The gig Tito Batista remembers the most is when
comedian Eddie Murphy opened up for Black Rose during a show at the Fox Hollow Country Club in 1980. Chris Pati's performance on the drums
that evening was compared to that of Buddy Rich and subsequently joined Black Rose, the band, that same evening at the age of 14.
Black Rose Productions Inc previously held a 15 year publishing agreement with BMG music publishing in Holland, Japan, and Hong Kong
global. Black Rose Productions Inc currently controls over 2,000 titles as a result of that relationship. Tito Batista is currently
representing publishers, managers, and executive producers of many artists, performers, composers, arrangers, songwriters, authors, record
labels, and musical producers. Mr Batista has been a mentor and is an advocate of higher education. Mr Batista is an intern host for over
20 years. Students come from many universities including Northeastern University, Hofstra University, Berkeley School of Music, Suffolk
Community College, Five Towns College , Nassau Community College, Full Sail Real World Education, Cold Spring Harbor High School, John F.
Kennedy High School and many more. Most recently Eastern Michigan University where this past week and currently one of their students, Mr
Abe Omaits was given the opportunity by Mr Batista to work side-by-side as an assistant/internist for legend composer Angelo Badalamenti at
The Broccoli Rabe Entertainment facility in Fairfield, NJ. Mr Batista is thrilled to be representing Mr Pati and looks forward to a bright
future with this new association between Chris Pati and legend composer, Angelo
Badalamenti.
