The John Lennon Songwriting Contest is an international songwriting contest that is open to amateur and professional songwriters. Entries are judged on originality, melody, composition and lyrics (when applicable). There are 12 categories: Rock, Country, Jazz, Pop, World, R&B, Hip Hop, Gospel/Inspirational, Latin, Electronic, Folk and Children’s. There is over $275,000 in cash prizes, and winners also receive equipment to help further their musical careers.

International songwriting contest

We Are Listening is offering a total of $6000 to the winners of their free international songwriting competition. It is open to songwriters, lyricists and performing artists in need of financial to support their musical careers. There are three categories: Singer/songwriter, Songwriter, and Lyricist. A winner ($1000), finalist ($400) and runner-up ($100) is chosen from each category. Entry is completely free.
